"I’ve known Steve for about 20 years now.  From the first time I saw Today Is The Day in the mid-90’s at a VFW in Connecticut to when I recorded Pain Is A Warning, he’s been approaching his music with unparalleled drive and intensity. This is a band that’s always worth listening to." - Kurt Ballou (Converge)

"Steve Austin and Today Is The Day is without a doubt the real deal. From eating the microphone to scaring the shit out of the crowd, they always deliver. Many tours dating back 20 years and more with Eyehategod we consider them true brothers. Now go buy the fucking record!" - Jimmy Bower (EyeHateGod, Superjoint Ritual, Down)

"Today Is The Day is a band's band — an outfit behind multiple legendary records that influenced your favorites, indirectly changing the landscape of heavy music as we know it." - CLRVYNT

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE New York, NY (September 22, 2017) - Today Is The Day has just released the re-issue of the 1999 album In The Eyes Of God, which includes the hallmark lineup of Steve AustinBrann Dailor (Mastodon) and Bill Kelliher (Mastodon). The re-issue, re-mastered by Maor Appelbaum and Steve Austin, is available on digital, CD and LP formats. The CD and digital versions contain demos of all 20 songs from the album, with the CD featuring exclusive demo bonus tracks from Steve Austin's deep archives! The album premiered in full with Revolver. CLICK HERE to stream, download, or order your physical copy.

Says Austin, "I set about making In The Eyes of God, in late 1998. I wanted to make a super fast, destructive and emotionally disturbing album that would take you on a tour of the human condition here on earth. At that time, America was like a boiling pot ready to spill over. My life on the other hand, was changed when I met wife. Suddenly, I had love in my life, for once. True unconditional love. So, the record travels through feelings of empowerment through love and the wicked force of hatred. After meeting Paul Booth earlier that year, Paul and I teamed up for what would become the 'Sweet Jesus' graphic for the album cover. I am extremely proud of this record. In The Eyes of God blew my mind when It was completed, and to this day is one of my most favorite works I have created."

In addition, on April 22, Today Is The Day released their first demo, How To Win Friends & Influence People, on 10" vinyl as a Record Store Day exclusive. This marked the first time that How To Win Friends & Influence People was commercially distributed and available in vinyl formatting. This newly re-mastered version showcases the band in its infancy, right before they went on to produce some of the most lauded releases in metal/noise-rock history.

Today Is The Day reigns as one of the most influential bands of the past two decades. The band's violent and anthemic style, which blends metal, noise, psychedelia, and rock, has won worldwide acclaim ever since the debut album, Supernova, first hit in the early 90s. Ten studio albums have been released on such labels as Amphetamine Reptile, Relapse, and Southern Lord -- including modern-day classics like Willpower, Temple of the Morning Star, and In the Eyes of God. The band's lineup has included such musicians as Brann Dailor and Bill Kelliher, who would later go on to form Mastodon. Today Is The Day has toured the world with Motorhead, Helmet, The Melvins, Morbid Angel, Converge, Napalm Death, Neurosis, Eyehategod, Unsane, Coalesce, and many more. Steve Austin has made a name for himself as a producer, helping create seminal albums for Lamb Of God, Converge, Deadguy, among others.
