More information about The End Records SXSW artists:
October 2013 marked the release of Okta Logue’s new album ‘Tales of Transit City’; a work that harkens back to the proggy psychedelic rock of early Pink Floyd and pulls from the blues of The Grateful Dead, ‘Tales’ takes the inspiration from these artists and twists it into something familiar, yet avoids the copycat vintage trap.
Last year Okta Logue embarked on their debut US tour after performing opening slots overseas for artists such as Neil Young & Crazy Horse and Portugal. The Man.
Having toured all of 2013 supporting bands like The Wallflowers, X, the Psychedelic Furs, Peter Murphy and Heartless Bastards, My Jerusalem has made a name for themselves in the music scene with their “post-modern southern gothic soul” sound. Their recent album ‘Preachers’ made many Best of 2012 lists including charting at #1 on Examiner’s Indie Rock Records, PopMatters, The Silver Tongue and The Deli Austin. The album has been reviewed by press such as Uncut, Guitar World, ArtRocker, The Austin Chronicle, and All Music among many others. You may also have heard the band on shows such as 666 Park Avenue and Being Human.
Best known as the guitarist, songwriter and founding member of The Black Crowes, Rich Robinson stands ready to complete the solo evolution he began ten years earlier. Strongly influenced by music greats such as The Rolling Stones, The Allman Brothers Band, Neil Young, and Led Zeppelin, Rich cultivates his talents as a guitarist, vocalist and lyricist to create his finest solo endeavor yet, ‘The Ceaseless Sight’ will be released June 3rd on The End Records.
