The debut album 'Air' from AGUA DE ANNIQUE - the new band fronted by ex-GATHERING singer Anneke van Giersbergen - is in stores today via THE END RECORDS
The band recently posted the video for the song 'Day After Yesterday' from the forthcoming debut album 'Air ' on Youtube.com Click here to watch the video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T9Z6Tvd4CtY About the video, van Giersbergen says, "The video, directed by Wilf (www.mooves.nl), was created with help from subsidised money from a Dutch fund. The video is a sweet melancholic video which tells the love story of the song 'Day After Yesterday.' The flight attendant is an image of myself." AGUA DE ANNIQUE's music captures the solace and beauty of life, told through a wondrous backdrop of musical arrangements and emotionally-drenched lyrics. The song "Witnesses" from 'Air' has been posted online at THE END RECORDS' official MySpace.com page. "Anneke lets her penchant for alt pop shine with this new project, while maintaining the angelic, yet dark vocal melodies that made her a beacon of light in the European metal scene." - THE SENTIMENTALIST "What we hear on the understated Air is an artist (van Giersbergen) relishing the chance to go her own way...an effortless blend of the adventurous and the accessible." - DECIBEL "...catchy hooks with shimmering arrangements...['Air'] finds Anneke moving towards more aggressive and dramatic territory..." - SEA OF TRANQUILITY "...a very personal record... Anneke has started down a long and adventurous musical road with 'Air'... We'll see where she takes us." - GRINDER "'Air' is a dark and touching affair...a sad, contemplating (with flourishes of the positive, mind you) record that will affect immediately and directly if you let it." - METALLIAN MORE: Official Site: http://aguadeannique.com Official MySpace.com Site: http://www.myspace.com/aguadeannique |
