Based out of North Carolina, Giant started as the two piece metal project of brothers Isaac and Zac Jones in the fall of 2004. Growing musically, and not wanting to limit song writing, instrumentation, or ideas, they added long time friends and like minded musicians Derrick Wells, and Kyle Whisenant, and Rodney James. 

Recording their first 5 pieces of music in January of 2006, the group effectively realized the project was allowing their love of classical compositions and moviescores to bleed into their writing process. This opened up the ability to explore and dedicate themselves fully to their respective instruments and ideas, allowing also, room for growth in instrumentation and writing.

After splitting with Rodney in late 2007 and continuing to write as a quartet, the band continues to expand on musical soundscapes that defy usual limitations.
