Dir En Grey
Rare NYC In-Store Appearance - Tuesday, November 10th

Formed in 1997, the band Dir En Grey tore down musical borders by becoming the first Japanese rock group invited to join Korn on their US Family Values Tour. They have consistently sold out performances in Europe, including in such select cities as Paris and Berlin, as well as filling venues to capacity during back-to-back performances in Los Angeles and New York City.

Billboard Magazine commented that Dir En Grey "ignited a frenzied response with their first three U.S. shows." In 2006, the music video for their song 'Saku' was voted #1 Video of the Year on the MTV2 show, Headbanger's Ball, a groundbreaking first for a non-English speaking import act.

We are pleased to announce that in celebration of their scheduled 3-night performance at New York City's Blender Theater at Gramercy, and upcoming DVD release, Average Blasphemy, that Dir En Grey will be part of a special event hosted by The Lady Miz Diva Vélez of the acclaimed pop culture showcase, TheDivaReview.com.

On the evening of Tuesday, November 10th at Kinokuniya Bookstore in New York City, Dir En Grey will take part in a live interview hosted by The Lady Miz Diva discussing the band's history and their All Visible Things Tour 09, as well as play clips from their newly-released DVD, Average Blasphemy.  The band will also sign autographs for 200 attendees.

This TRL-reminiscent event will be visible along New York City's famed Bryant Park, via the windows of Kinokuniya Bookstore, located opposite the park at 1073 Avenue of the Americas. Crowds of Dir En Grey fans will be able to view and cheer for their idols, making sure the event will be an unforgettable experience.

Location: Kinokuniya Bookstore, 1073 Avenue of the Americas, between 40th & 41st Sts. 2nd Floor.
