Editor’s Pick 7/19: The Lemonheads at The Met

The Lemon Heads

The Lemonheads released It’s a Shame About Ray in 1992. We’ve played it at least 1992 times since then. It’s a brisk, ultra-melodic, hooky and moving, too. The last time they were at the Met, 1005 Main St, Pawtucket, Evan Dando and company played the disc in its entirely. We wouldn’t mind at all if they play most of it again, plus “The Great Big No” and “Into Your Arms” and “Down About It” and whatever else strikes his fancy (he played nearly three dozen songs in the UK a few weeks ago). Colin Ruel opens at 9 pm | $15 advance, $18 day of show | 401.729.1005 | themetri.com”
